Þórður is 19 years old and recently graduated from Menntaskólinn við Hamrahlíð gymnasium. He has been playing the trumpet since he was 8 years old but currently he studies musical composition at the Iceland University of the Arts under the guidance of Hróðmar I. Sigurbjörnsson.
