Soraya Nayyar is a UK-born percussionist who grew up and began her musical education in Poland. She completed her studies at the Universität der Künste Berlin and now serves as the Principal Timpanist for the Iceland Symphony Orchestra. Soraya has performed with renowned ensembles such as the Beethoven Orchester Bonn, Komische Oper Berlin, Konzerthaus Orchester Berlin, and Staatsoper Hannover. With a strong interest in chamber music, Soraya enjoys exploring diverse genres and styles. She has appeared with groups like Caput, Kammersveit Reykjavikur, and Elja Ensemble. In addition, she launched her own concert series, The Chamber Express.
