Founded in 2000 by Jón Stefánsson, Graduale Nobili is a 20-member choir of young singers aged 18–30, all with formal musical training. The choir has won awards at international competitions and premiered numerous works by both Icelandic and international composers.

Graduale Nobili gained wide recognition for performing on Björk Guðmundsdóttir’s album Biophilia and touring with her for nearly two years. In 2014, the choir’s Christmas concert was broadcast on RÚV and across Europe, and in 2017, they performed with Fleet Foxes at Eldborg during Iceland Airwaves.

The choir has also released several albums, including In paradisum (2008), Ten Years (2010), A Ceremony of Carols – Dancing Day (2011), and Vökuró (2022).

This year marks Graduale Nobili’s 25th anniversary. To celebrate, they premiered a new choral work by former member Eygló Höskuldsdóttir Viborg.

The choir is conducted by Sunna Karen Einarsdóttir.
