Laura Liu is a violinist from Texas. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from New England Conservatory in 2014, where she studied with Miriam Fried. Laura later completed her Master’s degree at Rice University in 2017, where she studied with Cho-Liang Lin. Prior to joining the Iceland Symphony in 2018, she was the Zarin Mehta Fellow of the New York Philharmonic. Laura regularly performs with orchestras and ensembles in Germany, including NDR Elbphilharmonie, WDR Sinfonieorchester, Die Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, and others.
