Sergio Coto Blanco studied guitar at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin and subsequently specialised in Historical Performance on lutes and theorbo at the Hochschule für Künste Bremen. Sergio has worked widely as a lutenist in Europe og performed at festivals such as Händel Festspiele Halle, Internationales Bachfest Schaffhausen, Heidelberger Frühling and Bachwoche Stuttgart. He has also taught counterpoint at theUniversidad Nacional de Costa Rica (UNA.) His area of expertise reaches from the Renaissance lute to the Romantic guitar.
