Rúnar Óskarsson is a clarinetist and bass clarinetist known for his contributions to classical music in Iceland. He has had a significant impact on the Icelandic music scene, both as a performer and as an educator.

He studied in The Netherlands and after his studies he has been involved in various musical ensembles and orchestras in Iceland. His performances often include both solo clarinet pieces and collaborations with other musicians.  Additionally, he has contributed to the development of clarinet music in Iceland through teaching and mentoring younger musicians.
