Svafa Þórhallsdóttir was born in Reykjavik, 1981. She is educated as a music teacher at the Conservatory of Reykjavik with additional master studies at the Royal Danish Music Conservatory in Copenhagen. Svafa works as a music teacher, vocalist and choir leader in Copenhagen. She has a great interest in the musical development of children and has experimented with the presentation of classical music to children together with the ensemble “The Poetic Elephant”/”Den poetiske elefant”. Besides this Svafa has a career as a concert singer and regularly performs song and opera recitals in Denmark and abroad.
