Áslákur Ingvarsson

Baritone Áslákur Ingvarsson graduated from the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp in 2022 and has since become a prominent figure in Iceland’s music scene. His roles include Figaro in The Barber of Seville, Belcore in L’elisir d’amore, Dr. Malatesta in Don Pasquale, and Marcello in La Bohème.
Áslákur has performed with numerous independent opera companies, including Óður, Kammeróperan and Sambandið Opera Company, and received a Gríman Award nomination as Singer of the Year in 2024 for his portrayal of Póst-Jón. He has also participated in the premieres of new Icelandic musical works and brings a diverse background in the performing arts, sound design, and electronic music composition.
