Born in Portland, Oregon, Cameron Corbett began his professional career as a dancer at the age of eight. After studying at Jefferson High School of the Performing Arts and the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, he joined Tanz-Forum Köln in Germany before moving to Iceland in 1997 to dance with the Iceland Dance Company.

Alongside his performing career, Corbett has choreographed numerous works for the Iceland Dance Company, the National Theatre of Iceland, Reykjavík City Theatre, music videos, and independent theatre productions. He has also taught at several dance institutions, including the Iceland University of the Arts. He received the Icelandic Theatre Award (Gríman) for his choreography for the Reykjavík City Theatre production Miss Iceland.
