Heiðdís Hanna Sigurðardóttir

Heiðdís Hanna Sigurðardóttir is an Icelandic singer. She started her vocal studies with Guðrún Jóhanna Jónsdóttir in Tónlistarskóli Garðabæjar (Music School of Gardabær). After graduating from Tónlistarskóli Garðabæjar Heiðdís Hanna started her bachelor’s degree in Germany. She studied Bachelor Voice for three years at Musikhochschule Freiburg (University of Music Freiburg) with Prof. Angela Nick and then continued her studies for the bachelor’s degree in Iceland at the Iceland University of the Arts with Þóra Einarsdóttir, Ólöf Kolbrún Harðardóttir and Kristinn Sigmundsson. She continued to study at the Iceland University of the Arts for another degree in music and graduated from the master program NAIP in June 2018.

Heiðdís Hanna was one of the winners of the Young Soloists Competition of the Iceland Symphony Orchestra in 2016 and performed as a soloist in a concert with the Orchestra. In the years 2015-2017 Heiðdís Hanna performed regularly, as a soloist, in the concerts Pearls of Icelandic Songs in Harpa Reykjavik Concert Hall. She made her debut on the opera stage as Zerlina in Mozart's Don Giovanni with the Icelandic Opera in 2016. Heiðdís Hanna has also performed with the electric punk band HATARI. This summer Heiðdís Hanna sang the role of 1.Dame in Mozart’s The Magic Flute in the production of Escales Lyriques on the French island Île d’Yeu.
